![]() Mission Statement The Mission of Anne M. Jeans Elementary School is to create lifelong learners with motivation from within by establishing an educational environment that recognizes the rights of each student to be included in all educational experiences; by supporting a knowledgeable, innovative and collaborative staff who understand, respect and value that students learn in different ways; and by maintaining a learning environment that emphasizes shared responsibility and open communication between home, school and community. ADOPTED MAY, 1995 Anne M. Jeans School currently has an enrollment of 428 students. We offer a number of programs which strengthen our learners and prepare them for the 21st Century. These include a prekindergarten classroom for at risk learners, looping in all grade levels, multi-age classrooms, and a continuum of special education services from resource to full inclusion. The curriculum provides hands-on activities which promote critical thinking. We recognize that our children learn differently, giving faculty the opportunity to utilize multiple intelligences, learning styles, and cooperative learning research in their daily lesson. Our teachers have mapped the currculum to align with the Illinois Learning Standards and this information is availlable through report cards and brochures. Professional development activities emphasize reading strategies in the content areas, assessment, curriculum mapping, and special education. | Homepage | Burr Ridge Middle School | Anne M.
