Following are some statistics about our building
that was completed in 1994.
- 57,500 Square Feet
- Addition of 39,800 square feet.
- Remodeling on 17,700 square feet.
- $4.3 million project including addition to
and remodeling of Burr Ridge Middle School and remodeling of
Anne M. Jeans Elementary School. Construction of BRMS was completed
for $65 per square foot.
- Architect: Wight & Company.
- Construction Manager: Frederick Quinn and
Company.
- Enrollment Capacity of 400 Students
- Burr Ridge Middle School houses grades five,
six, seven, and eight.
- Team-Based Learning Clusters
- Four clusters, each with four classrooms,
student technology laboratory, and teacher instructional design
area. Each cluster includes a science laboratory.
- Learning Center
- New Learning Center with a capacity of 10,000
volumes and a computer laboratory.
- Technology
- Computer access points in all classrooms,
technology laboratories, and large-group areas. The building
is fully networked for data transmission.
- Gymnasium
- 6,000 square feet including competition basketball
and volleyball courts, and practice volleyball (2) and basketball
(4) courts.
- Seating for 300 spectators.
- Multipurpose Auditorium
- Seating for 100 in a mini-auditorium.
- Band Room
- Four-tiered practice area including individual
practice rooms.
