Following are some statistics about our building that was completed in 1994.

 

  • 57,500 Square Feet
    • Addition of 39,800 square feet.
    • Remodeling on 17,700 square feet.
    • $4.3 million project including addition to and remodeling of Burr Ridge Middle School and remodeling of Anne M. Jeans Elementary School. Construction of BRMS was completed for $65 per square foot.
    • Architect: Wight & Company.
    • Construction Manager: Frederick Quinn and Company.
  • Enrollment Capacity of 400 Students
    • Burr Ridge Middle School houses grades five, six, seven, and eight.
  • Team-Based Learning Clusters
    • Four clusters, each with four classrooms, student technology laboratory, and teacher instructional design area. Each cluster includes a science laboratory.
  • Learning Center
    • New Learning Center with a capacity of 10,000 volumes and a computer laboratory.
  • Technology
    • Computer access points in all classrooms, technology laboratories, and large-group areas. The building is fully networked for data transmission.
  • Gymnasium
    • 6,000 square feet including competition basketball and volleyball courts, and practice volleyball (2) and basketball (4) courts.
    • Seating for 300 spectators.
  • Multipurpose Auditorium
    • Seating for 100 in a mini-auditorium.
  • Band Room
    • Four-tiered practice area including individual practice rooms.
