The Golden Rule of Respect

CHARACTER COUNTS Respect Award

PreK
Luka Trbovic has demonstrated respect this month by showing our new friends what respectful behavior looks like at school.  He treats teachers and friends just like he would want to be treated.  Congratulations Luka.

EC
Joshua Zilinger shows respect by being thoughtful, concerned and caring about his family, teachers, and classmates.  He always watches out for others and stops to ask if they are okay.  Joshua is very polite and often uses such words as “please” and “thank you” without needing reminders.

Kindergarten
Urte Zakaraukas always uses manners by saying please and thank you to her teachers and friends.  She truly lives by the “golden rule”.  Keep up the great work!  You are off to a great start for the year!  Congratulations Urte!

Valerie Flores uses kind words with her classmates and teachers, following school rules, and always trying her best on her work.  She is a great example for our students! 

Jesse Carrillo always treats his friends kindly at school.  He helps others and uses respectful words and actions.

Jazz Rivero is very kind to his classmates.  He listens and uses volume 1 when a friend in his class is speaking and plays with everyone at recess or during centers.  He also remembers to use good manners during snack-time by saying “please” and “thank you”.  I am so proud of Jazz for being a respectful student in our Kindergarten class.

First Grade
Mateusz Mazur always shows that he is respectful be always being considerate of his classmates and teachers.  He is very polite and courteous.  He is always the first to say please and thank you when he borrows something or receives something.  I am very proud of him.  Mateusz shows great integrity and is an exceptional role model for his classmates. 

Darryl Williams uses kind words to his classmates and teacher.  He also uses good manners and likes to include others when he’s playing.  Keep up the great work at your new school Darryl.

Elicia Chambers demonstrates respect by always knowing that school is a time for listening and learning.  She has lots of fun in class, but knows when it is time to respect the rules and learn all that she can.  Super job Elicia!

Kamri Franklin shows respect by following the Golden Rule, to treat others the way you want to be treated.  She is kind and fair to her classmates.  Kamri raises her hand and waits to be called on instead of shouting out in class.  She cleans up the classroom even if she wasn’t the one who made the mess.  She is a model student and we are happy that she is in our class.  Awesome job, Kamri.

Hannah Salas always uses kind and considerate words with her classmates.  She says “please” and “thank you” and is always courteous with others.  Hannah treats people kindly even if they look or act differently than she does.  She also takes care of her things in the classroom that are not hers, and she helps to make sure it is clean at the end of the day.  I am very proud of her.  Keep up the good work Hannah.

Second Grade
Arielle Spaulding shows respect by listening in class and being respectful while others are talking.  Arielle speaks kindly to others and treats them fairly and kindly.  She is always willing to help others.  Congratulations Arielle.

Haley Jenkins always kind and thoughtful to others.  She treats others the way she wants to be treated.  She listens, raises her hand in class, speaks kindly to everyone, and shares her things with others.  She is a role model for her classmates.  It is a pleasure having Haley in our class.

Cory Adams shows respect by showing kindness to his classmates.  He is extremely well-manner and always remembers to say “thank you.”  I am proud to nominate such a respectful young man this month.  Congratulations Cory!

Alyria Benson demonstrates respect by using volume one in the hallways to show respect for other students’ learning.  She is an active listener when others speak.  Alyria respects the rules of the classroom and follows them at all times.  She is polite and always uses her best manners.  Alyria is an excellent role model for our pillar of respect.

Third Grade
Abby Briscolino is always using the volume requested by the teacher (even when it’s hard to do), helping others whenever the opportunity arises, and being a terrific classmate and student.  Keep up the great work, Abby.

Katerina Nieves is kind to others and treating them the way she wants to be treated.  She is helpful, a good listener and respects all school rules. Katerina is a positive example to others! 

Christopher Fiaccato demonstrates respect by always following the rules and respecting his teacher and classmates.  He uses kind reassuring words when a friend is feeling bad and positive praise when someone does something well.  Christopher is respectful of not only himself, but also the environment around him.  He will pick things up off the floor and either throw it away of give it back to its rightful owner.  He is always respecting others feelings by being considerate and caring towards others.  Christopher exemplifies what respect looks like, acts like, and sounds like and as a result is a great role model.

DeJah Burton demonstrates respect by always keeping her hands and feet to herself.  She uses respectful behavior by raising her hand and listening carefully and thoughtfully to others’ responses.  DeJah’s desk and locker are always neat and clean.  She always uses the volume requested by the teacher and a kind tone when talking to others.  DeJah is an excellent role model, and we are all very glad that she is a part of our class.

Fourth Grade
Antonio Figueroa shows respect by using excellent manners such as “excuse me”, “thank you” and “I’m sorry.”  He definitely uses the Golden Rule.  In addition, he tries to settle arguments peacefully and always admits when he has done something wrong.  He really tries to be a better person.  What a terrific model of respect Antonio really is for our class.

Alex Briscolino is always helping his friends with their homework, chipping in and offering to do almost any task, and always showing respectful behavior to adults.  He has been a wonderful leader in our classroom this year.  Alex has earned the respect of all of his peers.

Naki Jones has demonstrated respect by treating others, as she would like to be treated.  She is kind and patient with students.  Naki’s strength of character shines through in all classroom and school activities.  Her self-respect also shows as she completes assignments and sets goals for herself.  Congratulations Naki.

Eddie Easha is always helping others when they need help.  He is in many before and after school programs.  He shows respect to others and to equipment in sports club.  Eddie is always someone that I can trust and rely on to be respectful all of the time keep up the great work Eddie.
