At their recent re-organization meeting, the Burr Ridge 180 Board of Education approved four goals for the coming school year. The Board publicly set these goals to help provide direction to the teachers and staff for the coming year. The Board remains committed to a belief in continuous improvement constantly evaluating the district's efforts towards and appropriateness of its goals.

These goals are a continuation of what has always been at the forefront of the district's efforts. The act of publicly approving them sends a message to the Burr Ridge 180 community that the Board has determined what areas should receive the majority of the district's attention and resources.

All members of the district staff from the board to the teachers, to the secretaries to the custodians will be working hard towards the achievement of these goals during the school year.

· Improving student achievement,
· Creating a safe and productive school climate,
· Serving the needs of all of our students,
· Improve efficient management practices.

At the end of the year, the board will evaluate the efforts made towards the accomplishment of these goals and revise them in developing plans for the next school year. Additionally, throughout the current school year, the entire district will be engaged in a thoughtful process of evaluation and study to determine most productive and efficient use of valuable district resources.
