Americans express support for traditional public schools in new poll
The well respected poll found that, "a majority of public school parents gave higher grades—A’s and B’s—to the traditional public schools in their neighborhoods than they have in years. In the poll a majority of parents also expressed their believe that, “having a mix of students from different racial and ethnic backgrounds was extremely or very important”.
The poll confirms the findings of the Burr Ridge CCSD 180 parent surveys which has consistently found that nearly 80% of parents felt that the quality of education their child was receiving was outstanding. In fact, out of all of the respondents only two felt that the quality of education was below average.
