Ref: State Report Card and Individual Student Score Reports
Dear Burr Ridge 180 Families and Community Members,
Traditionally, at the end of October, the State of Illinois issues school report cards. This year Anne M. Jeans Elementary has been rated as "Commendable" and Burr Ridge Middle School has been rated as “Targeted” based on April, 2023 State IAR Scores. Anne M. Jeans received an overall index score of 54.28 and Burr Ridge Middle School received an overall index score of 54.76. Both scores are well within the “Commendable” designation but Burr Ridge Middle School received a “Targeted” designation because a subgroup of students missed the “Commendable” designation by .08%. The CCSD 180 School Improvement Team has taken this data and will address the sub group deficit during the 2023-2024 school year.

However, parents may access their individual student's Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) test results in the following ways:
• IAR Parent Portal - Introducing https://il-results.pearsonaccessnext.com, where parents can access individual student results and resources to support about your child's performance on the Illinois test for English Language Arts and Math. This portal also allows you to add your student's Spring 2023 test results to your user account and access them in the future.
• Video Individual Score Reports (Video ISRs} - Video ISRs are personalized videos created specifically for your student that walk through the information presented on their score report. Delivered via the IAR Parent Portal, video ISRs combine student-specific animation and voiceovers to help you better understand your student's assessment results and direct you to resources that are tailored for your student's needs. We encourage you to watch these videos with your child and discuss any questions with your student's teacher.
Individual School Reports for each child who took the spring 2023 IAR test were mailed home to parents back in August 2023. Included on the ISR, will be an individual code and QR code that is unique to your child. With this code you will be able to securely access your student's test results in the IAR Parent Portal.
Please contact your child’s school if you need to look up the individual code for your child. We keep an extra copy of the IAR results for each student in their school files.
While the State's "Commendable" designation at Anne M. Jeans Elementary is nice, we believe that our district's student evaluation system benefits our district as a whole and continues to improve all of our students' learning. We continue to use the well-regarded MAP tests to get a baseline of how students are doing after the pandemic so that we can use real information to start to fill in the gaps that may have been created.
