Dear Burr Ridge 180 Community,
At their meeting this morning, the Burr Ridge Board of Education approved me to serve as the
interim superintendent for the 2025-26 school year after Dr. Kyle resigned to become the
superintendent in Skokie.
I have enjoyed working with Dr. Kyle over the past two years. He is a genuinely good guy and I know
we all wish him the best in his new district.
The Board has asked me to begin the process for finding his replacement which will get fully
underway this fall with the goal of naming the next superintendent by January, 2026.
You should know that Dr. Kyle’s departure has not dampened the Board’s commitment to the
District goals. In fact, the Board is as determined as ever to see these goals implemented this school
year and is providing the resources and professional development to ensure that our students
benefit from these clearly stated outcomes.
It is a lot to accomplish, but I am confident we will be successful in accomplishing them because
they reflect what the district already aspires to and are things that will make a difference in the lives
of our students.
As an entire Burr Ridge 180 community we look forward to working with our families and to be sure
that our students can take advantage of the exceptional educational opportunities we offer.
I look forward to working with you to and your students to make this a great school year full of fun
times, student growth and positive learning experiences.
Thanks,
Tom Schneider, Interim Superintendent
